SKYWATCH’s wide-area surveillance capability demonstrates real-time tracking of over 80 aircraft within a multi-state radius using ADS-B signals received from both terrestrial receivers and satellite uplinks. Each aircraft’s identity, altitude, squawk code, speed, and flight direction are instantly displayed and updated at sub-second intervals. By correlating active flights with FAA and FlightAware schedules, SKYWATCH provides a synchronized airspace picture that enables authorities to identify unscheduled or diverted aircraft, monitor suspicious airspace behaviors, and pre-clear arrivals in coordination with immigration and customs units.
